Demi Unique (founder of Masticate) is a traveling artist and chef, exploring food as an instrument of connection and the places that it holds in the lives of many. Her culinary pursuits are inspired by her ancestors and her eagerness to tell stories. She’s had the privilege of growing up in the kitchen, creating memories with elders that cooked with so much love. From them, food became her love language and favorite medium of expression. Based mainly in the DC and NY areas (but willing to travel), she is available for private dining, pop-ups, catering, and culinary projects.
